Luke Littler shared that he extended an invitation to Prince William for the upcoming PDC World Championship at Alexandra Palace. The 19-year-old met Prince William at Windsor Castle following his MBE recognition in darts.

During their conversation, Littler mentioned that Prince William expressed interest in attending an evening at Ally Pally as it seemed like an enjoyable outing. Subsequently, the two-time world champion welcomed the future king to the championship.

Reflecting on their discussion, Littler revealed, “Prince William mentioned he has been following the journey, and we discussed the significant expansion of darts. While I didn’t formally invite him, I am confident that either myself or the PDC can arrange tickets if needed.”

Prince William, known for his passion for football, recently celebrated Aston Villa’s victory in the Europa League. He praised the team’s success on social media following their triumph over Freiburg with a 3-0 win.

Villa defender Matty Cash shared that Prince William joined the team for a celebratory beer, expressing his unwavering support and presence at training sessions and matches. Littler acknowledged the uncertainty of Prince William’s future interest in darts but cherished the unique encounter with him.

Receiving his MBE alongside notable figures like Cynthia Erivo and Matt Lucas, Littler described the surreal experience of attending Windsor Castle and the honor bestowed upon him for his contributions to the sport.

Looking ahead, Littler is focused on reclaiming the Premier League Darts title for the second time. His upcoming semi-final match against Gerwyn Price will determine his path to the final, where he could face either Jonny Clayton or Luke Humphries.
