The National Hockey League has announced the tragic passing of journalist Jessi Pierce and her three children in a house fire in Minnesota over the weekend. Condolences and tributes are flowing in for Jessi Pierce, Hudson, Cayden, and Avery.
In an official statement, the NHL expressed their condolences, stating, “The entire National Hockey League community extends its prayers and deepest sympathies to the Pierce family following the loss of Jessi Pierce and her three young children. Jessi was a dedicated member of the NHL.com team for ten years and had a great passion for our sport. She will be dearly missed.”
Authorities from the fire department confirmed their response to an emergency call in White Bear Lake just before 5:30 am on Saturday, where witnesses reported flames engulfing the residence. Upon arrival, emergency responders discovered the bodies of an adult and three children. An investigation into the cause of the fire is currently underway.
The Minnesota Wild organization also released a statement expressing their sorrow over the tragic event, stating, “The Minnesota Wild is deeply saddened by the loss of Jessi Pierce and her children. Jessi was a caring individual who deeply cherished her family and community. She played a vital role as an advocate for hockey while covering the Wild and the NHL. Jessi and her children will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and condolences are with their loved ones and all who knew them.”
Kristen Krull, co-host of the Bardown Beauties podcast, paid tribute to Jessi Pierce, describing her as a supportive figure and a devoted mother. Krull shared, “Jessi was like a big sister to me, always there to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. Her dedication, kindness, and love for her family were unparalleled.”
