Must read

Conor McGregor has expressed his approval of the UFC’s upcoming event at the White House, even though he is not scheduled to compete in it.

Initially rumored to headline a fight on President Donald Trump’s front lawn against Michael Chandler on June 14, McGregor is now expected to fight in the following month. UFC CEO Dana White unveiled the White House card with Ilia Topuria defending his lightweight title against Justin Gaethje as the main event.

Alex Pereira is set to move up to the heavyweight division to face Ciryl Gane for the interim belt in the co-main event. Despite not being part of the card, McGregor shared his enthusiasm by posting a photo of the lineup on social media, stating “love it” and later adding that it was “a great card.”

In an earlier interview, McGregor mentioned that he was still waiting for confirmation on his return to the octagon. He discussed his anticipation for a matchup against Chandler at the White House, highlighting his readiness for the fight. However, plans seemed to have shifted towards a potential bout during International Fight Week.

McGregor also revealed his intention to return at welterweight, emphasizing his willingness to take on any opponent offered to him. He expressed eagerness to get back into competition and hinted at ongoing discussions for his next fight.
