“New Aero 4K Set-Top Box Revolutionizes TV Viewing”

Must read

Households looking to access television content without ongoing subscription fees now have additional options available. Freely, initially introduced in 2024, offers access to live channels through a broadband connection. Originally, the service was limited to specific new TV models, but it has expanded over the past 18 months to include brands like Hisense, Toshiba, and Sharp. Previously, individuals interested in using Freely had to purchase a new TV set.

The technology team at Manhattan recently introduced a new Freely-enabled set-top box called the Aero 4K, allowing users to enjoy over 60 live channels and on-demand content on existing TVs without requiring a costly subscription.

The Aero 4K device comes with features like voice search, content recommendations, a comprehensive TV guide, and the ability to pause live programming. Additionally, users with subscriptions to services such as Disney+ and Netflix can access these apps through the device.

Priced at £69.99, the Aero 4K has gained popularity among consumers. Currys is the first retailer in the UK to offer the Manhattan Aero 4K, and the product is currently listed as “out of stock.”

Currys confirmed that the Aero 4K was quickly sold out and will be restocked soon. Interested buyers can sign up on Currys’ website to receive alerts when the device becomes available again. Other retailers like Amazon and John Lewis are expected to start selling the Aero 4K in the near future.

Once back in stock, the Aero 4K will compete with devices like Virgin’s Stream box and Sky Stream, all of which eliminate the need for traditional aerial or satellite dish installations by delivering content over the internet.

Transitioning to streaming services offers advantages such as simplified setup processes without the need for professional installation services and more frequent software updates.

The television landscape is evolving rapidly, with Freely reporting a user base of over a million. The trend towards streaming services is expected to continue as more viewers shift away from traditional TV viewing methods.
