Beauty retailer Bodycare is making a comeback in the UK high street by opening 17 new stores. After facing administration last September and shutting down all of its 147 stores, the brand has been acquired by an investment group led by former Body Shop and Molton Brown CEO Charles Denton, with plans for a revival announced in April. The locations of the new stores have now been disclosed, with 15 stores set to open within a year.
The new stores will feature content creator studios showcasing new products, demonstration zones, and live broadcast studios. The locations are primarily in the North and Midlands regions, including Leicester, Northampton, Bradford, Leeds, and Wakefield. The first store to reopen will be the Sheffield branch in The Moor Shopping Centre, welcoming customers back soon.
Although the exact reopening date is yet to be confirmed, a message displayed in front of the Sheffield store indicates the imminent return. The Moor Sheffield’s Facebook page announced the reopening of Bodycare, highlighting the introduction of a “Bodycare Studio” format with various innovative features as part of a digital-first strategy. More new stores are hinted to be on the horizon, with further details awaited.
