Apple has recently unveiled its latest iPhone 17e model, boasting significant enhancements at an attractive price point. Featuring a swift A19 processor, MagSafe charging technology, a robust build, and an impressive single-lens camera, the device is priced at £599, which is £200 lower than Apple’s flagship iPhone.
While the iPhone 17e stands out, Samsung has also introduced new budget-friendly options with the launch of the A57 and A37 models starting from just £399. Although these Samsung phones may not match the performance or advanced charging capabilities of the iPhone 17e, they do offer a 6.7-inch screen with cutting-edge 120Hz technology, providing a smoother user experience for tasks like browsing, email navigation, and gaming compared to the 60Hz display of the iPhone 17e.
Notable features on the Galaxy A57 and A37 include spacious 5,000mAh batteries, triple lens cameras, and a durable design with P68 water and dust resistance ratings. Samsung has integrated smart features into these devices to cater to users’ needs, such as Google’s Circle to Search for quick web queries and enhanced photo editing tools like Object Eraser and Edit Suggestions for effortless photo adjustments and sharing.
The phones also offer an improved Voice Transcription feature within the Voice Recorder app, enabling users to transcribe or translate call recordings and convert voicemail audio into text efficiently, facilitating easy retrieval of important information from various sources.
Samsung has committed to providing long-term support for the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G models, promising up to six generations of Android OS and One UI updates, along with six years of security patches.
Both the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G will be available for purchase on Samsung.com starting April 10th, with the Galaxy A57 5G priced from £529 (256GB) and the Galaxy A37 5G starting at £399 (128GB). The Galaxy A57 5G will be offered in colors like Awesome Navy, Awesome Grey, Awesome Icyblue, and Awesome Lilac, while the Galaxy A37 5G will come in shades like Awesome Lavender, Awesome Charcoal, Awesome Greygreen, and Awesome White.
Annika Bizon, VP of Product and Marketing at Samsung Mobile Experience (MX) Division, emphasized the significance of democratizing AI technology, stating that the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G blend Samsung’s core strengths with AI capabilities to deliver everyday performance and showcase the practical benefits of AI integration.
