Must read

An alarming incident unfolded at a bus stop in Stockholm, where multiple individuals were tragically killed and injured in a devastating crash witnessed by school children.

Engelbrektsskolan students were in close proximity to the central Stockholm bus stop when a bus collided with a group of people around 3:24 pm local time. Authorities confirmed that no school staff or pupils were reported to be involved in the incident.

Following the distressing event, Headteacher Karin Nord stated that a crisis meeting would be held to support the students and staff who were exposed to the crash.

Emergency responders swiftly arrived at the Östermalm bus stop post-crash, where a considerable police and medical presence was observed. Tragically, it was later confirmed that some individuals had succumbed to their injuries.

In the aftermath, Michelle Marcher reported that five individuals, including two with severe injuries, had been transported to the hospital for treatment. Notably, the bus was devoid of passengers at the time of the incident.

Police officials refrained from disclosing details about the victims’ identities, stating that investigations were ongoing. The bus driver was apprehended on suspicion of aggravated manslaughter, with authorities ruling out terrorism as a motive.

Eyewitnesses recounted a chaotic scene, with one resident describing hearing a loud noise followed by screams and the sight of injured individuals on the ground after the bus crash.

Another witness, Michelle Mac Key, narrated her experience of witnessing the bus colliding with the bus stop, causing widespread confusion and panic in the area.
