“Masters Enforces Ban on AI Glasses, Expels Golfer”

Must read

The Masters tournament organizers have taken action against the use of AI glasses that violate their strict no-phone and no-camera policy. The enforcement of this rule led to the expulsion of golfer Mark Calcavecchia from the venue for using his mobile phone.

These AI glasses are equipped with mini speakers, microphones, and cameras, enabling users to communicate, listen to music, and capture images and videos discreetly. Detecting these advanced devices can be challenging without specialized training.

Security staff at Augusta National, as reported by The Daily Mail, are now prioritizing identifying these glasses and training on how to detect the hidden cameras within them. An incident was cited where a fan attempted to bring such glasses to the Masters, using them during a practice round and receiving a warning from the club before leaving.

However, anyone caught attempting to bring AI glasses to the final round on Sunday risks immediate expulsion and a ban from the tournament, according to a source. Officials are also monitoring online platforms for any content posted using these prohibited glasses.

Following the incident involving Mark Calcavecchia’s removal for using a phone, players have been reminded of the ban on electronic devices once the tournament begins. Several players, including Bryson DeChambeau, have expressed support for the policy, emphasizing the importance of respecting tradition and integrity in the age of social media.

The Masters tournament coverage starts on April 6, and fans can watch it live with Sky’s Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle, offering a wide selection of channels including Sky Sports, HBO Max, Netflix, Disney+, and more.
