The Georgian-style estate, spanning 19,786 square feet, was acquired by the couple in 1982 on a peninsula in Greenwich. Originally valued at $4 million, it was part of their assets until their divorce in 1992.
Following various enhancements, Ivana sold the property for $15 million, and it was later resold in 2024 for $31.5 million. The new owners are planning extensive renovations, including an outdoor tennis court, a swimming pool, additional buildings, an indoor tennis court, and a new main house of approximately 17,000 square feet.
The property is currently owned by 21 Vista Drive LLC, replacing the former owners, Robert Steinberg and Suzanne Steinberg. The redevelopment plans involve combining three lots into one zoning lot, removing existing structures, and introducing a new design. The project requires a special permit due to its scale, exceeding 150,000 cubic feet of construction.
Reputable architects from Robert A.M. Stern Architects have been engaged for the project, although details of the new main house design remain undisclosed. The timeline for approval is uncertain, pending the initial assessment. Ivana Trump, who passed away in 2022, had documented the property in her memoir, “Raising Trump,” recounting how she and Donald Trump chose the estate while flying over the town in a helicopter.
