A deceased individual was discovered wrapped in a dark bag inside the trunk of a vehicle close to Iran’s World Cup training facility in Mexico, as per local authorities.

The surprising finding occurred in a supermarket parking lot directly facing the Caliente Stadium in Tijuana. The car had been abandoned there for several days until the authorities were alerted by a strong odor emanating from it.

Per the Tijuana prosecutor’s office, law enforcement officers found a body in the back of a grey Toyota SUV, which had been present since the previous Wednesday. Authorities stated, “Upon examination of the vehicle, they discovered an individual wrapped in a black bag in the trunk, displaying signs of violence.”

The identity of the victim has not been disclosed by authorities yet, and investigators are actively working to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Preparations at their training headquarters, the Mexican team Club Tijuana’s home, have not been interrupted as the team concentrates on their initial tournament match.

Initially planning to establish their training camp in Arizona, Iran was compelled to relocate to Mexico due to visa and travel constraints affecting members of the Iranian delegation. The team will journey into the United States for their World Cup matches.

Placed in Group G, Iran is set to compete against Belgium, Egypt, and New Zealand in their quest to progress to the knockout rounds. Recently, The Iranian Football Federation issued a forceful statement after fans were informed that their ticket allotment for the tournament had been rescinded.
