“Sky Introduces Ultimate TV Bundle with Disney+, Netflix & More”

Must read

Sky has unveiled a major update that is set to capture attention. The television provider is rolling out a new subscription package that combines several top streaming services at a reduced monthly rate. Priced at just £24 per month, customers, both new and existing, will gain access to Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and the upcoming HBO Max app, slated for release next month.

According to Sky, this bundle offers great value, with approximately £20 worth of streaming apps included at a discounted rate. Considering Sky’s current basic plan costs £15 per month, the additional content effectively comes at a mere £9 extra.

Moreover, subscribers to the Ultimate TV plan will receive over 130 channels, including Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, Sky Crime, Sky History, and more.

Additionally, Sky Cinema users will enjoy a dedicated Disney movie channel integrated directly into the planner. This feature allows them to watch Disney blockbusters without needing to open the Disney+ app separately.

Existing Disney+ subscribers who signed up directly can seamlessly transfer their current plan – whether Standard or Premium – to Sky while retaining their profiles and viewing history.

Sky has assured that all supported apps will be easily accessible from the homepage, with fully integrated content. This means users can conveniently discover shows and movies through voice search and save them to a Playlist for later viewing.

The new Sky Ultimate plan will be available on Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q platforms.

Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, expressed that this update signifies a “new era” for Sky and NOW by merging Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu under a single subscription. She highlighted the integrated viewing experience and exceptional value for customers, with HBO Max included at no additional charge for NOW Entertainment subscribers.

Sky emphasized that this move underscores its commitment to innovation, simplifying the process for viewers to enjoy premium entertainment in one consolidated platform.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS OF THE UPDATE:

• Netflix Standard with Ads
• Disney+ Standard with Ads – Starting from March (exact date pending)
• HBO Max Basic with Ads – Launching in the UK & Ireland on March 26th
• Hayu from July, with select top shows available from March
• PLUS: Over 130 channels from Sky
