The discussion took place during a 55-minute call on Trump’s 80th birthday, where the US president highlighted that ending the conflict in Ukraine could pave the way for improved relations between the US and Russia, as reported by Kremlin foreign policy adviser Yuri Ushakov.

Trump also mentioned progress towards a peace agreement with Iran, expressing optimism that the outcomes of ongoing negotiations could be disclosed soon. Ushakov reiterated Trump’s emphasis on the importance of halting hostilities in Ukraine, noting the potential for enhanced US-Russian relations with a swift resolution.

Furthermore, Trump affirmed readiness to collaborate with European partners and Kyiv, including participation in talks at the upcoming G7 summit, as stated by Ushakov.
