“Sky Customers Frustrated by ITVX Glitch”

Must read

Some customers of Sky are facing a frustrating glitch that is impacting the ITVX app. Reports of this issue started surfacing late last week, with users expressing their displeasure over the problem that causes programs to skip to the end unexpectedly. Viewers have complained about being abruptly taken to the credits of a show without using the fast-forward feature on their remote.

In a post on Sky’s forum page, a user named Dazzasky mentioned, “ITV Player randomly skips ahead, usually right to the end of the episode and is making it quite difficult tbh… this has been happening for the last 4 or 5 days.” Another user named Dawn also shared her experience, stating, “Is anyone else having issues watching programmes on ITVX for the last 3 days? I’m watching then jumped to the end randomly and then showing as watched. It usually happens at the beginning of the programme or straight after an ad break.”

The issue seems to be affecting users of Sky’s online devices, including Sky Stream boxes and Glass TVs. While it is unclear if Sky Q is also impacted, most complaints are from individuals using broadband-powered devices rather than satellite dishes.

Currently, the cause of the problem remains unknown. However, a Sky employee named Kev has acknowledged the issue and assured users that the company is actively working on a solution. Kev stated, “Thank you for making us aware of this problem and thanks for tagging us. We can understand how frustrating this must be and have escalated the problem to our support teams. They will work with ITV to fix the issue. As soon as I have more information, I’ll update everyone.”

For now, users may have to tolerate the skipping problems, but a resolution is hopefully in progress. Mirror Online will provide updates on this matter as soon as new information becomes available.
