A woman reported missing for three days was rescued by two men who found her trapped in a muddy puddle, a significant distance from her home. Kathryn Woessner, 68, disappeared from Akeley, Minnesota, on June 3, sparking concerns among her loved ones. Adam Sandbeck and Mike Gravalin, friends of the missing woman, discovered her while riding their all-terrain vehicles in Minneapolis, far from her residence.
During their impromptu exploration, they stumbled upon a van in an isolated area, prompting them to investigate further. Initially mistaking her for a lifeless body, they realized she was alive when she whispered for help. Despite her precarious condition, the men managed to free Woessner from the muddy trap and promptly contacted emergency services.
Following the rescue, Woessner received medical attention, and authorities are probing the circumstances leading to her remote location. Reflecting on the incident, the rescuers expressed astonishment at the serendipitous encounter, with Sandbeck remarking, “We were meant to be there to save this woman’s life.”
