“Freeview Users Urged to Retune After Channel Lineup Update”

Must read

Freeview users are advised to promptly review their settings and retune their devices following the recent update rollout. The UK TV platform has introduced changes to the channel lineup and TV guide. Freeview has announced that certain broadcasters are implementing adjustments, necessitating a retune to ensure channels and the TV guide remain current.

The update includes four key changes. Three existing channels have been rebranded with new names, visible when navigating the TV guide. That’s TV 3 (Channel 71) is now That’s 20th Century, featuring music from past decades and iconic shows like Yes, Minister and The Saint. That’s TV 3 MCR (Channel 86) is now That’s 20th Century MCR, while That’s Classics MCR (Channel 93) has been simplified to That’s Classics.

Additionally, a new channel called That’s Entertainment will launch on Channel 75. Details about the programming are limited at this time, but more information is expected soon.

Freeview emphasizes that such updates are part of the ongoing adjustments made by broadcasters to keep content fresh and diverse. Users should see these changes reflected in the TV planner. If not, a retune may be necessary by following these steps:

1. Press the menu button on the remote.
2. Navigate to settings, installation, or a similar option.
3. Enter the PIN if required (typically 1234 or 0000).
4. Select “first-time installation,” “factory reset,” or “full retune.”
5. Confirm the deletion of existing channels.
6. The device will automatically search for and store the updated channels.

While Freeview updates occur regularly, this recent update is significant, making it advisable to retune promptly.
