“British Man’s Nightmare: Falsely Imprisoned in Dubai”

Must read

A British man’s idyllic life in another country turned into a nightmare when he was imprisoned on false drug charges. Luke Tully, 47, relocated from north London to Dubai in 2018 to pursue his dream of owning two restaurants. Despite a lavish lifestyle and substantial income, his world crumbled when authorities arrested him unjustly.

Tully spent two harrowing years in a prison filled with criminals, including sex offenders and violent individuals. The ordeal began when a nightclub contact, whom he considered a friend, was found in possession of cocaine. The police traced Tully through a harmless message in his friend’s phone and raided his home, mistaking a restaurant reservation for drug-related activity.

The arrest took a violent turn as plainclothes officers barged in, assaulting Tully and threatening him with severe consequences. Despite finding no evidence of drugs or illicit substances, Tully was incarcerated without due process. He endured deplorable conditions in a crowded prison with limited facilities, surrounded by dangerous inmates, including a person involved in bestiality.

Facing the looming threat of a harsh sentence, Tully was eventually exonerated after nearly two years behind bars. Following deportation back to the UK, he reflected on his ordeal, expressing no regrets about his Dubai venture and emphasizing personal growth from the experience.
