A woman who departed a bar without settling her bill was in for a surprise when she returned three years later, finding out that the owner still remembered her. This incident has gone viral in Spain through the popular account “Soy Camarero,” meaning ‘I’m a waiter’ in English, and has been widely shared.
The account shared the story of a woman who left a negative review for a bar, only to later discover that she had not paid her bill three years earlier. The woman used to visit the bar on her scooter, ordering a beer for which she had to pay upfront because of her habit of leaving without paying.
According to reports, the woman once ordered a meal at the bar, then abruptly left on her scooter and disappeared for three years. When the bar owner spotted her at another establishment, he approached her for the outstanding payment. However, the woman did not offer any explanation for her actions and did not attempt to make arrangements to settle the bill.
Following the encounter, the bar owner tried to collect payment for the past meal from the woman. Instead of cooperating, she decided to leave a negative review online, expressing her dissatisfaction with being asked to pay for a meal from years ago.
In her review, she criticized the bar’s actions, stating that she would never charge someone for a meal consumed years ago, highlighting what she perceived as a lack of empathy and consideration from the bar’s management. Alongside her critical review, she rated the restaurant three out of five for food, service, and atmosphere.
