Must read

Alton Towers is set to introduce a special event during the upcoming six-week summer break, offering visitors an immersive Minecraft experience that includes the opportunity to meet adorable new Baby Mobs.

In a unique twist, the theme park will unveil the baby Minecraft Mobs through a grand announcement reminiscent of Buckingham Palace. Dubbed “Minecraft Meet the Mobs,” this event will run from July 18 to August 28, aligning with the school holidays in England and Wales.

Guests can look forward to encountering popular characters like the Iron Golem, Chicken Jockey, and Creeper, as well as witnessing scenes featuring baby Mobs such as yellow axolotls, pandas, pigs, goats, chicks, and wolf pups.

The baby Mobs will be strategically placed in six Minecraft-themed locations throughout Alton Towers. Visitors can embark on a trail to find each one and mark their progress on a game card. Completing the trail will unlock an exclusive downloadable in-game reward, accessible only to those who visit the theme park.

Describing Mobs as living entities within the Minecraft video games that exhibit various behaviors, Alton Towers aims to provide an engaging experience for fans of the popular game. Additionally, attendees can indulge in Minecraft-inspired snacks like TNT popcorn and ice lollies, and browse a selection of exclusive merchandise available for purchase within the park.

For Minecraft enthusiasts eager to join the fun, tickets for Alton Towers can be booked online for summer dates. The Meet the Mobs experience is included in the standard admission price for all visitors during the specified period.

Recognized as one of the top-selling video games worldwide, Minecraft has amassed a staggering 350 million copies sold since its initial release in 2011. Alton Towers’ Vice President, Howard Ebison, expressed excitement about bringing the spirit of Minecraft to the park, highlighting the interactive elements, exclusive rewards, themed treats, and surprises awaiting guests throughout the event.

In addition to the Minecraft festivities, Alton Towers recently unveiled the new Bluey the Ride: Here Come the Grannies!, the world’s first rollercoaster inspired by the beloved cartoon characters. The park also features CBeebies Land, offering children rides and attractions based on popular shows like Hey Duggee, JoJo and Gran Gran, Go Jetters, and the Octonauts.
