“Child Sexual Assault Cases Shock Spain”

Must read

A group of children in Spain, aged just 11 or 12, faced a one-week suspension after being accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl. The incident reportedly took place at a birthday party outside the school in Burgos, northern Spain, involving five or six classmates.

The girl’s family reported the alleged attack to the police, triggering an investigation. Although the girl was said to have been deeply affected by the incident, the young students cannot be prosecuted due to being below the legal age of criminal responsibility.

Authorities in Burgos are aware of the case, and the police have forwarded the investigation report to the Juvenile Prosecutor’s office. Initially expelled, the accused students were allowed back to school after a week, where they are being kept separate from other students to prevent stigmatization.

In a separate incident, Spanish police are investigating allegations of sexual assaults on multiple teenage girls during a cruise where their drinks were allegedly spiked. The Civil Guard in Barcelona confirmed receiving complaints and statements from the victims but no arrests have been made yet. The suspects have been identified and located, and the investigation is ongoing.
