“Scottish Man in Coma After Turkey Heart Attack”

Must read

The daughter of a man from Scotland who experienced a heart attack while on a winter vacation in Turkey expressed her hope for a miraculous recovery. Peter McMahon, 52, hailing from Glasgow, suffered a cardiac arrest in the early hours of Wednesday, with his heart ceasing to beat for 70 minutes. The father of five had flown to the Antalya resort on November 14 for a one-week holiday.

His concerned daughter, Teigan, has traveled to Turkey to be with her father, who is currently in a coma and being kept alive by medical machines, as reported by the Daily Record. She shared that she received a call informing her of her father’s admission to the ICU after suffering a heart attack, which was different from a previous minor heart episode he had a few months ago.

Teigan revealed that medical personnel had to perform CPR on her father for over an hour as his heart stopped beating for an extended period, resulting in kidney damage and necessitating dialysis. Although Peter remains in a coma, he can breathe independently, and his daughter is clinging to the hope for his awakening, describing it as a potential miracle.

Peter, who runs an auto body repair garage, had traveled without insurance coverage. In response to the escalating medical expenses and the need to bring her father back home, Teigan initiated a fundraising campaign that quickly raised £2,000 within hours.

Expressing the urgency of the situation, Teigan emphasized the importance of every contribution, highlighting the mounting medical costs that are beyond her family’s financial means. She humbly appealed for support, stating her willingness to go to any lengths to secure the best possible outcome for her father’s health.
