“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” Swings Past $700M in 13 Days

Must read

The latest Spider-Man film, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” has broken records by reaching the $700 million US mark in just 13 days at the North American box office. This achievement makes it the fastest movie to hit this milestone in North America, with only seven other films surpassing this mark. Tom Holland stars as Peter Parker for the fourth time in this Marvel and Sony production, alongside Zendaya and other fan-favorite MCU actors.

The storyline follows Peter Parker in a world where Spider-Man has been forgotten by everyone, leading to his struggles with loneliness and unpredictable powers. Notably, the film has not only grossed over $704.5 million in North America but has also raked in $1.108 billion internationally in just two weekends, surpassing its predecessor, “No Way Home.”

“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” has set multiple records, including beating “Avengers: Endgame” for the biggest domestic opening weekend and claiming the highest-grossing first week in domestic box office history. It has also become the second-fastest film to reach $1 billion globally, just behind “Avengers: Endgame,” and is now Sony’s highest-grossing release in 26 international markets.
