Singer Mayerly Díaz, aged 32, has passed away due to a sudden heart attack post a cosmetic procedure, reports confirm. The mother of two encountered a medical crisis, with indications pointing to the heart attack possibly stemming from complications arising from the said cosmetic treatment.
Recently, she had the procedure done at a clinic in Bogotá, Colombia, early on a Saturday. Mayerly, known for her diverse music encompassing pop and local folk genres, succumbed to the situation while under treatment at a hospital in Facatativá following unforeseen issues.
Originally hailing from La Sierra in the Quipile municipality, she leaves behind two children aged 11 and 13. Recognized locally as “The Voice of Quipile,” her musical voyage commenced at the tender age of 14.
Her rendition of “No supiste perder – You Didn’t Know How to Lose” has garnered 58,000 views on YouTube. Additionally, her music video for “Con tus chiros a otra parte – Take Your Cash Somewhere Else” was freshly released just last week.
Néstor, her manager and close confidant, expressed, “Her voice and dedication to music embodied our community. Her legacy will endure for her modesty and the happiness she infused in every song.”

Leidy Díaz, Mayerly’s cousin, took to social media to pay a heartfelt tribute, reminiscing, “I still can’t believe it, my dear cousin. We grew up together, we fought together since we were little. You’ve left my heart shattered, taking my soul with you, and I will cherish you eternally as I always promised.”
