Samsung has recently unveiled a trio of new Galaxy S26 smartphones, with one of them featuring a unique Privacy Display that sets it apart from the iPhone. The S26 Ultra boasts a thinner design, increased speed, and the innovative Privacy Display feature, which prevents unauthorized viewing of the screen content.
Upon activation in the settings, the Privacy Display technology makes content vanish unless directly viewed, ensuring privacy from prying eyes nearby. Users can customize the feature to block specific apps or notifications as desired.
According to Samsung, the Galaxy S26 Ultra introduces the industry’s first built-in Privacy Display, revolutionizing privacy protection on smartphones by controlling pixel light dispersion to maintain visibility for the user while limiting visibility for others.
In addition to the Privacy Display, the Ultra model comes with a sleek design, extended battery life, and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform. It also offers rapid charging, capable of reaching 75% battery in just 30 minutes.
The device is equipped with an advanced quad rear camera for improved low-light photography and enhanced video recording with upgraded Super Steady capabilities, including a horizontal lock option for smoother video capture.
Like its predecessors, the Ultra model includes an S Pen stylus for easy note-taking on the 6.9-inch AMOLED screen. The Galaxy S26 lineup also features a standard S26 with a 6.3-inch screen and a larger 6.7-inch Plus version, both powered by Samsung’s Exynos chip and equipped with triple-lens rear cameras.
Samsung has enhanced the smartphones’ smart features with a Galaxy AI upgrade, introducing features like Now Nudge, which provides relevant suggestions to enhance user productivity and reduce distractions.
Moreover, the company has emphasized its commitment to user experience, integrating features like automatic photo suggestions from the Gallery for trip-related requests and seamless integration with Google Gemini for intuitive web searches.
While Samsung’s new Galaxy S26 lineup offers significant upgrades, the enhanced features come at a higher cost this year. The UK pricing for the models is as follows:
– S26: 256GB £879, 512GB £1,049
– S26 Plus: 256GB £1,099, 512GB £1,269
– S26 Ultra: 256GB £1,279, 512GB £1,449, 1TB (with 16GB RAM) £1,699
These models are expected to be available in stores starting next month.
