“New Manhattan 4K Freesat Recorder Set to Challenge Sky Q”

Must read

Sky Q continues to be a highly popular premium TV platform, despite being a decade old. Offering access to premium channels, streaming services like Netflix, and the ability to record programs, it remains a top choice for many households. Additionally, households can enhance their viewing experience by adding Mini boxes for multi-room access.

However, Sky Q may soon encounter competition from an anticipated upgrade to Freesat, a subscription-free live TV service. While Freesat devices utilizing a dish to transmit content are not new, improvements are on the horizon for users considering this platform.

Recent observations by the Cord Busters team indicate a scarcity of the current 4K Freesat recorder online, hinting at an upcoming release. Manhattan, a well-known provider of free-to-view devices, has confirmed the imminent launch of a new generation Freesat box. The COO of Manhattan TV, Alex Arbab-Zadeh, has assured customers that a fourth-generation recorder is in the works and is set for release soon after Easter, with availability expected by the end of April.

Although specific details are yet to be revealed, the rumored Manhattan S4-R 2TB Freesat 4K TV Recorder is expected to support the simultaneous recording of up to four programs. With a substantial 2TB hard drive offering around 1,200 hours of storage capacity and full 4K compatibility for superior image quality, this device is poised to make a mark in the market.

Utilizing a satellite dish for live TV reception, the box is also likely to integrate with broadband for access to various apps such as BBC iPlayer and Netflix. Stay tuned for further updates on this innovative product, especially if you are seeking a TV solution without recurring fees.
