“Freeview TV Guide Overhaul: Talk Channel Closure & Program Rebranding”

Must read

Freeview, the popular TV service, has undergone notable changes in its TV guide lineup. One significant update is the closure of Talk channel (Ch 280), a British news channel known for its focus on debate, opinion-led journalism, and politics. Users can now access this channel through the official Talk app or other platforms like Samsung TVs, Roku devices, and LG screens.

In addition to the channel closure, Freeview has made adjustments to its programming. Wedotv Big Stories on channel 275 has been rebranded as Wedotv, while three services have been relocated on the planner. Ketchup TV, Ketchup Too, and Cartoon Classics will now be found on different channels, with Ketchup TV moving from Ch 209 to Ch 208, Ketchup Too shifting from Ch 210 to Ch 209, and Cartoon Classics moving to Ch 210 from its previous spot on Ch 214.

Freeview has advised users to ensure their TV settings are up to date to receive the latest channel lineup. To do so, viewers need to retune their TVs by following a few simple steps: press the menu button on the TV remote, select ‘set-up’ or ‘installation’, choose ‘first-time installation’ or similar option, and confirm the deletion of existing channels if prompted. This process will help keep the TV guide current and channels accessible.

Freeview emphasized the dynamic nature of channel changes on its platform and encouraged audiences to stay informed by regularly updating their TV settings.
