The bodies of the man and the two boys, identified as Joseph and Greysen Chavez, were discovered in an apartment on Owensmouth Avenue after reports of gunfire on Sunday evening.

The mother of the children survived an attempt on her life by the father but tragically, he then turned the gun on himself.
