A man was fatally shot in Sydney’s western region during daylight hours, leading to the arrest of two suspects following a high-speed police pursuit. The incident occurred on Carinya Street in Blacktown around 11:50 am on Friday. Upon arrival, emergency responders found the victim with gunshot wounds to his neck, chest, and leg.
Despite immediate medical attention from paramedics, the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Meanwhile, law enforcement officers observed a Mazda utility vehicle fleeing the area. Pursuing the vehicle, police engaged in a chase that ended when the car crashed on Kildare Road.
Following the crash, two individuals attempted to flee on foot but were swiftly captured by police and brought to Blacktown Police Station for interrogation. Authorities have cordoned off the area as detectives delve into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
