“Passenger Bites Another on American Airlines Flight”

Must read

A pilot had to urgently contact air traffic controllers as a man reportedly bit another passenger during a flight landing on Sunday.

The incident occurred on an American Airlines flight approaching Philadelphia when the disruptive passenger began behaving aggressively.

In the audio recording of the pilot’s call, he mentioned the passenger biting someone and causing a disturbance, prompting the pilot to request medical and law enforcement assistance.

After the pilot’s distress call, he remarked on the unusual day, to which the controller responded with Father’s Day wishes, leading to a light-hearted exchange.

American Airlines clarified that the disruptive passenger was dealing with a medical problem, and a medical professional onboard provided assistance until the flight landed safely.

Flight tracking data showed the plane departed from Charlotte, North Carolina, in the morning and landed in Philadelphia before 10 am ET.

This incident adds to a series of recent disruptive behaviors on flights, including a Frontier Airlines incident where a passenger attempted to open an emergency exit mid-flight and a Lufthansa flight where a female passenger instigated an onboard altercation, leading to an emergency landing.
