“Apple introduces AppleCare One in UK for multi-device protection”

Must read

Apple has introduced AppleCare One in the UK, expanding from its US launch last year. This new subscription service allows British customers to protect up to three eligible Apple devices, such as iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple Watches, under a single plan for £16.99 per month.

AppleCare One offers coverage for accidental damage, loss, or theft, with Apple providing repairs or up to three replacement devices per year per claim. This service enhances the existing AppleCare+ benefits, including unlimited accidental damage repairs, battery servicing, and 24/7 priority Apple support.

The key advantage of AppleCare One is the ability to protect multiple devices with a single subscription, potentially leading to significant cost savings. Apple estimates that customers covering an iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch could save up to £11.48 per month compared to purchasing separate AppleCare+ plans for each device.

Another benefit is the flexibility to add eligible devices up to four years old to the plan, as long as they are in good condition. This extended window for coverage surpasses the usual 60-day limit for purchasing AppleCare+ after acquiring a device.

Apple emphasizes that AppleCare One simplifies device protection, offering a seamless transition when upgrading devices. Covered devices can be traded in, with the old product automatically removed and the new one added to the subscription without additional complexity.

Bob Borchers, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, highlighted the customer-centric approach of AppleCare One, providing a straightforward and adaptable solution for UK customers. With one plan, one price, and comprehensive coverage for eligible products, Apple aims to deliver peace of mind and a superior customer experience.
