“Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm Shop: A Cotswolds Delight”

Must read

Upon visiting Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm Shop at The Farmer’s Dog in the Cotswolds, I was intrigued to witness his renowned enterprise firsthand. However, the experience turned out to be quite different from my initial expectations.

Ever since Clarkson’s venture into farming in the Cotswolds was showcased in the popular series “Clarkson’s Farm,” I had been captivated by the challenges and endeavors faced by him and his team. The dynamic interactions between Jeremy, Kaleb Cooper, Gerald Cooper, Charlie Ireland, and Lisa Hogan added a touch of humor and charm to the engaging Amazon show.

During my weekend trip to the Cotswolds, a visit to the Diddly Squat Farm Shop was a priority. While the primary shop is located in Chipping Norton, another branch can be found in Burford, along with The Farmer’s Dog, Clarkson’s bustling pub and restaurant, which was consistently fully booked.

The site exceeded my expectations with its diverse offerings. The bustling car park and the lively atmosphere indicated the popularity of the location among fans of the show. The expansive grounds featured various attractions, including The Farmer’s Dough food van serving pizzas, bars pouring Clarkson’s Hawkstone beer, and The Grand Tour tent, evoking memories of Clarkson’s previous endeavors.

Stepping into The Grand Tour tent, I was impressed by the extensive range of merchandise available, from The Farmer’s Dog items to Clarkson-branded products. The adjacent Diddly Squat Farm Shop offered a wide selection of goods under Clarkson’s brand, ranging from fresh produce to quirky items like the ‘This smells like my boll**ks’ candle.

Clarkson has successfully created a welcoming space that attracts visitors to linger and enjoy the scenic garden views. The outdoor area, adorned with numerous benches, provides a relaxing setting to savor a pint of Hawkstone beer and engage in traditional pub games like Aunt Sally.

During my visit, I indulged in a pint of Hawkstone’s IPA and found it to be a pleasant surprise. The bar menu also featured a variety of other beverages, catering to different preferences. What was initially intended as a brief visit turned into a leisurely stay, showcasing the allure and charm of Clarkson’s farm.

The immersive experience at Diddly Squat Farm Shop exemplifies Clarkson’s entrepreneurial success and his ability to create a vibrant destination for fans and visitors alike.
