An altercation between a mother and her son took a tragic turn when the young boy fatally stabbed his parent. The incident occurred following an argument about the child’s behavior, as reported by the police.
Eyewitnesses recounted the heartbreaking moment when the mother, Caline Arruda dos Santos, asked her son for a final hug before he stabbed her in the abdomen. Prior to the violent act, Caline had instructed her son to stop playing in the street.
Allegedly, the boy retrieved a knife from the kitchen, concealed it under his shirt sleeve, and then approached his mother and older brother at the door, where he carried out the fatal attack.
In a poignant statement, the mother reportedly requested one last hug, acknowledging that she wouldn’t survive. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Caline succumbed to her injuries upon arrival.
Due to his age, the boy, being under 12, was not taken into police custody since he cannot be held accountable by the Children’s Court. Presently, he is under the guardianship of a relative of the victim.
A family member mentioned in an interview that the boy seems to be unaware of the gravity of his actions, only learning about his mother’s demise from another individual.
The tragic incident occurred on Rua Gaspar Leme in Parelheiros, near Sao Paolo, with the case currently under investigation by the Civil Police. This heartbreaking event follows a separate case where a teenager showed a disturbing reaction in court after being charged with the alleged murder of her mother and stepfather.
