“US Calls for Prince Andrew Testimony Amid Epstein Links”

Must read

US lawmakers have urged Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to appear in the United States and provide testimony regarding his connections to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

King Charles received accolades from American officials for stripping Andrew of his prince title. Following a resounding vote, officials praised the UK’s swift actions and expressed a desire for similar accountability in the US.

Republican Rep Thomas Massie highlighted the need for accountability, drawing parallels between recent events in Britain and the US. Despite denials of wrongdoing, Andrew’s removal of his prince title and the dismissal of the UK’s ambassador to the US were referenced.

The US government stated that there is no immediate legislative action required to strip Andrew of his titles, although his name was reportedly removed from plaques in the Falkland Islands this week.

In line with the UK’s actions, US officials emphasized the importance of not honoring individuals involved in criminal activities. Democratic Rep Ro Khanna suggested the possibility of summoning Andrew to testify before Congress, emphasizing the urgency for justice similar to that displayed in the UK.

In a recent development, King Charles completed the removal of all royal titles from the Mountbatten-Windsor family, primarily due to renewed focus on Prince Andrew’s association with Jeffrey Epstein.

Buckingham Palace officially announced the cessation of Andrew’s use of “His Royal Highness” and the termination of all official patronages and military appointments associated with the Crown.

This action marked the conclusion of a prolonged and contentious period for the royal family, culminating in Andrew stepping back from public duties in 2019 following a controversial BBC interview addressing his links to Epstein.
