UK Man Burns Passport, Pledges Loyalty to Putin

Must read

A man from the UK who supports Vladimir Putin was seen burning his British passport in a video filled with strong language. Aiden Minnis, a 38-year-old resident of Chippenham in Wiltshire, proudly displayed a Russian passport and a bravery medal given by Vladimir Putin in the past.

In the video, Minnis expressed his disdain for the UK and renounced his British citizenship due to new anti-terror laws. He symbolically discarded his passport, declaring he no longer wanted it and made derogatory remarks towards Great Britain, expressing his allegiance to Russia. The video ends with Minnis firing a large rifle into the air.

Despite his possession of a Russian internal ID document, which does not permit foreign travel, Minnis could still face legal consequences in the UK, including prosecution and extradition if he returns. He has previously stated his intention to cause harm to individuals from Ukraine and English mercenaries.

Minnis’ rapid acquisition of Russian citizenship was facilitated by Kremlin-affiliated entities and politicians from the Russian republic of Udmurtia. Known for his controversial statements, Minnis has denounced the UK as a “fascist state” and has engaged in extremist activities, leading to potential terrorism charges if he were to go back to Britain.

Having been awarded a bravery medal by the Russian army for his actions in Ukraine, Minnis, who is married to a Russian national, has expressed strong anti-UK sentiments and unwavering loyalty to Putin. His family has distanced themselves from him, disapproving of his actions.

In an interview, Minnis described his dangerous role on the Russian frontlines in Ukraine, highlighting the constant threat of drones, mortars, and tank shells. He expressed sorrow over the loss of fellow soldiers and the challenges of serving in such a perilous environment.
