Trump Orders Investigation into Epstein Connections; Targets Dems

Must read

Donald Trump has finally spoken out regarding the release of numerous emails and documents linked to Jeffrey Epstein, where Trump’s name appears hundreds of times. Following the publication of these files, Trump has been relatively quiet, avoiding questions on the matter during a recent Oval Office event and opting for an Executive Order signing in a different location to evade press inquiries. However, behind the scenes, there has been intense activity at the White House as efforts were made to address the situation proactively. Reports suggest that Trump personally reached out to Republican lawmakers, urging them to retract their support for a petition seeking further document releases.

In a recent development, Trump announced that he has directed top law enforcement officials to investigate connections between various individuals, including former President Bill Clinton, and Epstein. Notably, Lauren Boebert, a Colorado Republican who supported the petition for releasing the files, was called to a meeting in the White House Situation Room, attended by Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI director Kash Patel.

Furthermore, Adelita Grijalva, an Arizona Democrat whose swearing-in had been delayed for nearly two months, finally took the oath and signed the petition, tipping the scales for a House vote on the files release.

On social media platform Truth Social, Trump criticized Democrats for reviving the Epstein issue to divert attention from their shortcomings, emphasizing that Epstein’s association primarily concerns Democrats, not Republicans. He called out specific Democrats regarding their ties to Epstein and hinted at forthcoming investigations by law enforcement agencies.

Among the extensive collection of documents were emails where Epstein mentioned Trump’s interactions with Virginia Giuffre, a key figure in the case. The potential release of the Epstein files faces a journey through the House vote, Senate approval, and ultimately Trump’s decision on whether to sign the bill.

President Trump’s next public events are not scheduled until after his visit to Mar-a-Lago tonight. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt accused Democrats of selectively leaking emails to create a false narrative tarnishing Trump’s image.
