Trump Indifferent to Epstein Files, Open to Maxwell Pardon

Must read

Former President Donald Trump has left the door open to potentially pardoning Ghislaine Maxwell and shrugged off queries regarding the Epstein files, indicating his indifference towards further document disclosures. This follows the release of over 23,000 documents to Congress from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate, which included numerous emails mentioning Trump.

Within the emails, Epstein asserted that Trump was aware of the situation involving young girls, although Trump clarified that he never partook in any massages. When questioned about Epstein’s statements, Trump responded, questioning the nature of Epstein’s association with Bill Clinton.

Trump recently utilized his Truth Social platform to announce his intent to instruct Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel to examine other prominent figures linked to Epstein, such as former President Clinton. Justifying his actions, Trump asserted his authority as the “chief law enforcement agent” of the United States.

Regarding the House of Representatives’ initiative to release more of the Epstein files, Trump expressed apathy, stating, “I don’t care if they are released or not.” He emphasized the need to investigate Epstein’s acquaintances, including Reid Hoffman, distancing himself from any involvement on Epstein’s island and dismissing the situation as a “Democrat hoax.”

Subsequently, LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman called for the full release of the Epstein files to bring justice to the victims. As Trump’s statements reverberated, Hoffman urged for transparency in the matter.

On the topic of potentially pardoning Ghislaine Maxwell, currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for sex trafficking, Trump stated that he had not considered the matter recently, neither ruling it in nor out.
