“Trump Claims 9/11 Prediction, Navy Celebration”

Must read

Former President Donald Trump reiterated his claims that he had foreseen the 9/11 attacks and could have prevented them if his warnings had been heeded. Speaking at the Navy 250 Celebration at Naval Station Norfolk, Trump asserted that he had written about Osama bin Laden a year before the World Trade Center tragedy, urging vigilance against the terrorist leader. Despite media skepticism, Trump insisted that his prior warnings were genuine and should have been taken seriously.

Contrary to Trump’s assertions, he did not predict the 9/11 attacks. In his book “The America We Deserve,” published over 18 months before the tragic events, Trump briefly mentioned bin Laden as a threat to national security. Although the book predated the attacks, it did not specifically forecast the assault.

During the Navy event, Trump, accompanied by First Lady Melania Trump and other officials, observed military demonstrations aboard the USS George H. W. Bush. Navy destroyers showcased their firepower, while SEALs and fighter jets performed tactical maneuvers.

The ongoing government shutdown, triggered by partisan disputes, has led to furloughs, unpaid work for military personnel, and stalled projects in Democratic-leaning regions. Trump blamed Democrats for the shutdown, accusing them of jeopardizing the Navy’s birthday celebration.

As Senate Democrats blocked government funding measures, Trump criticized them for potential layoffs and disruptions linked to the shutdown. He highlighted what he described as a flourishing economy and attributed any negative impacts to Democratic policies.

Trump’s remarks before departing for the Navy event underscored his stance on the shutdown and his belief that Democratic actions were causing economic strains. Despite ongoing political tensions, Trump emphasized his commitment to a robust economy and denounced what he perceived as Democratic obstacles to progress.
