A 14-year-old girl named Kylie Toberman was tragically found deceased inside a motorhome located behind her residence in Vandalia, Illinois, just a few hours after she was reported missing. She had last been seen at around 9pm the previous night and was reported missing at 6.30am the following morning. Kylie’s body was discovered in the afternoon, and the cause of her death remains unknown.
Kylie had been residing with her adoptive mother and two sisters. Her step-uncle, Arnold B Rivera Jr, aged 43, lived in the motorhome where her body was found, as claimed by Kylie’s biological mother, Megan Zeller. Rivera Jr was initially sought by the Vandalia Police Department and was later taken into custody. He faces charges of first-degree murder, aggravated sexual assault, and concealing a homicide.
Megan Zeller, Kylie’s mother, pleaded for assistance in locating her daughter while she was still missing, but later shared the heartbreaking news of Kylie’s passing. Kylie, who excelled in school and sports, was a member of the wrestling team at Vandalia Junior High School. The community is mourning the loss of the bright and talented young girl.
