“Top-Rated Pumpkin Patch: Doddington Hall Offers Free Experience”

Must read

A stunning country estate offers the finest pumpkin picking experience in the United Kingdom, and it’s completely cost-free.

Situated near Lincoln, Doddington Hall and Gardens have been declared as the top pumpkin patch in the UK for three consecutive years by Outdoor Toys, a company specializing in children’s play equipment. The assessment considered factors such as entrance fees, location, social media presence, and Google search trends.

Scoring an impressive 9.49 in the overall evaluation, Doddington Hall outshined competitors like Tapnell Farm on the Isle of Wight, Millets Farm Centre in Oxfordshire, and Lathcoats Farm on the Isle of Wight.

One of the major reasons for its dominance in the pumpkin-picking rankings is its complimentary admission for both adults and children. Visitors only pay for the pumpkins they choose to take home. This means that guests can enjoy the picturesque surroundings of Doddington Hall and its gardens without any charge if they opt not to purchase pumpkins.

“I may not be an expert on pumpkin patches, but after multiple visits to Doddington Hall, I understand its appeal. The sheer elegance of the estate attracts visitors, and it’s no wonder that it has gained popularity on social media,” stated Joe Griffin of Lincolnshire Live.

Joe visited Doddington Hall in October last year, enjoyed the autumnal produce, and had a memorable experience.

“The variety at Doddington Hall is remarkable, offering thirty different types of pumpkins, squash, and gourds at reasonable prices starting from just £3 depending on size. An interesting feature is their golden bottom competition, where some pumpkins are sprayed gold underneath each year,” he mentioned.

“If you discover one of these, not only do you receive the pumpkin for free but also a family ticket to the Christmas in the Hall event and a 4ft homegrown Christmas tree from Doddington.”

“What sets Doddington Hall apart for me, and I believe for many others, is the chance to spend an entire day there. You can explore the Farm Shop, visit the Bauble Barn, enjoy delicious food at the Farm Shop Café or Grain Store Café, and take leisurely autumn walks around the estate grounds.”

“The cuisine at Doddington Hall is exceptional. Every time my partner and I visit, we make a point of stopping by the Farm Shop Café to savor the freshly prepared homemade dishes.”

If you’re interested in experiencing the Lincolnshire pumpkin patch, it is open from 1st to 31st October, from 10am to 4pm daily, while supplies last. Pumpkin prices start from £4.
