New Book Alleges Margaret Thatcher Had Two Extramarital Affairs

Explosive revelations in a recent publication suggest that Margaret Thatcher engaged in two extramarital affairs during her time as the UK’s Prime Minister. Despite being married to her husband Denis for over half a century, it is claimed that she was involved in a romantic relationship early in her political career and later with another politician.

According to acclaimed journalist Tina Gaudoin’s book, “The Incidental Feminist,” sources indicate that Mrs. Thatcher had an intimate connection with a close aide who made physical advances towards her during private dinners. Gaudoin reports that individuals she interviewed described Thatcher as unexpectedly alluring, with a captivating presence that sparked interest when she entered a room.

Multiple insiders, including former Tory minister Jonathan Aitken, disclosed to Gaudoin that Thatcher was linked romantically with someone early in her parliamentary journey and possibly with Sir Humphrey Atkins, a former Conservative MP and Cabinet minister under her leadership.

Aitken commented on Atkins, suggesting that despite his appealing appearance, his lack of political acumen may have drawn Thatcher’s attention. Another politician mentioned a running joke about Atkins consistently advancing in his career despite his perceived shortcomings.

Furthermore, Gaudoin uncovered accounts from sources alleging that Lord Bell, Thatcher’s PR chief, had a close relationship with her, involving physical contact during their private interactions. Lord Moore, who authored Thatcher’s official biography, acknowledged hearing rumors about Atkins but emphasized the absence of concrete evidence to support such claims.

During a discussion at the Cheltenham Literature Festival, Gaudoin also disclosed Thatcher’s alleged friendship with former model Mandy Rice-Davies following her tenure as Prime Minister. Rice-Davies, known for her association with Christine Keeler and the Profumo scandal, reportedly exchanged affectionate letters with Denis Thatcher post-Margaret’s time in office, discussing shared interests like military history and future vacation plans.

This latest exposé has stirred controversy and intrigue surrounding the personal life of one of Britain’s most iconic political figures.
