“Tesco Unveils Exciting Frozen Range Update”

Must read

Tesco recently unveiled 270 new and enhanced products in its largest frozen range update since 2018. The supermarket has revamped its selection of brands, offering shoppers items from popular names like Greggs, Crosta Mollica, Zizzi, White Rabbit, Kitchen Joy, and Itsu, as well as introducing new labels such as Street Snacks and Craft Pizza.

In addition to collaborating with external brands, Tesco has also refreshed its in-house frozen offerings, including adding air-fryer instructions for energy-conscious consumers. The retailer has expanded its Finest frozen range with a variety of new items like pizzas, pies, poultry, fish, meat, and desserts.

Early Christmas treats are already available at Tesco, with seasonal favorites like Finest Beef Wellington, Finest Pigs in Blankets, Finest Potato Dauphinoise, and Finest White Chocolate, Mascarpone, Raspberry, and Blueberry Cheesecake now on shelves.

Tesco has improved over 50 products by enhancing recipes and updating packaging. Among these upgrades, 17 new product lines have been introduced across meat, fish, and poultry categories, along with enhancements to seven existing favorites.

Research conducted by Tesco reveals that one-third of consumers consume frozen food at least twice a week. Naomi Kasolowsky, Tesco’s Frozen Category Director, expressed excitement about the extensive changes to the frozen aisle, emphasizing the quality, convenience, and value frozen food offers to customers.

In a separate development, Tesco adjusted the price of its meal deal last month, with Clubcard members now paying £3.85 compared to the previous £3.60. The cost for non-Clubcard holders has also increased from £4 to £4.25.

The most popular items in Tesco’s meal deal currently include the Tesco Chicken Club Sandwich as the main, Tesco Egg Protein Pot as the snack, and a 500ml Coca-Cola beverage. Clubcard members enjoy a cost-saving of £2.65 by purchasing these items together, which would otherwise total £6.50 when bought individually.

This recent price adjustment marks the third increase in the meal deal cost for Clubcard members and the fourth increase for non-Clubcard customers. Tesco has previously raised prices for non-Clubcard holders from £3 to £3.50 in February, and later to £3.90 in October, while maintaining a price of £3 for Clubcard members. In August 2024, prices went up to £4 for non-Clubcard members and £3.60 for Clubcard holders.

Tesco plans to introduce new items to its premium meal deal in the near future, continuing to enhance its offerings for customers.
