“Teen Survives Crocodile Attack in Australia”

Must read

A crocodile attacked a teenage boy while he was fishing with his friends. The 14-year-old, part of a group of three non-locals fishing in waist-deep water, survived a ‘death roll’ by the crocodile. He sustained leg and abdomen wounds and was airlifted to Cairns Hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition.

The incident occurred 100km north of Cairns in Far North Queensland, Australia. A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed the airlift of the injured teenager. This incident follows a tragic crocodile attack on a tourist at Bonamanzi Game Reserve in South Africa. Despite warning signs, the man was dragged into a river by a 12-foot crocodile, resulting in a fatal outcome.

Eyewitnesses described the horrifying attack, expressing the man’s desperate struggle against the powerful crocodile. Despite rescue efforts, the victim disappeared underwater and was later found deceased. The man, a 56-year-old South African from Richards Bay, was staying at the reserve with his family for a weekend. The reserve offers live feeding experiences for crocodiles, but it is unclear if this activity was available during the attack.
