A Strictly Come Dancing star has dropped a major hint that Tasha Ghouri is growing closer to her co-star, Jamie Borthwick. Earlier this month, It was revealed that Tasha and Andrew Le Page had ended their 2 and a half year relationship.
A video shared by Strictly professional Carlos Gu has sparked speculation about Tasha’s growing closeness with co-star Jamie. In the video, Tasha and Jamie are seen dancing together, with Carlos commenting: “Fresh couple in the making.”
In the video, Tasha donned a metallic bodysuit and corset, while Jamie wore a green sleeveless suit. The duo displayed their dancing talents as they danced together on the red carpet.
Tasha has expressed that her Strictly experience boosted her confidence and personal growth. She finished as a runner-up in the series with her professional partner, Aljaz Skorjanec.
This comes after Tasha and Andrew’s shock split at the start of January. The pair, who fell head over heels for each other after meeting on Love Island back in 2022, seemed to be going from strength to strength.
Last year, they shared that they had purchased a house together. Throughout 2024, Andrew and Tasha worked on renovating the house to build their dream home.
After the split, Tasha has set up a dating app profile. The TV star has reportedly joined exclusive app Raya and included photos that she had previously shared on Instagram in December.
“Tasha was madly in love with Andrew but the cracks started to show when she appeared on Strictly,” a source told the Sun. “She gave her all in that competition. Her focus was purely on her dances with Aljaz and that drove a wedge between them as time went by.”
Tasha will be away from Andrew again as she heads out on the Strictly tour and the couple are said to have “talked about ending their relationship at the start of January”. The source said the pair “hit a rocky patch”. Tasha had previously called Andrew her “future husband” and insisted she wasn’t worried about the infamous Strictly curse.
Before joining the BBC dance competition, Tasha told the Sun: “Andrew, to me, is the hottest man on this whole planet. I look at him and I’m like: ‘Yeah, that’s my man’. Me and Andrew trust each other 100 per cent.” Tasha was confident their relationship would sail through the Strictly experience, as she added: “It’s not a make-or-break for us. We’re going to breeze through this because we’re going to marry each other one day, you know.”
Tasha, who was born deaf and received a cochlear implant at the age of five, also joined her dance partner Alijaz and his wife Janette Manrara on a double date. In December, Tasha was asked if a proposal could be coming as she told OK!: “That’s a question for Andrew! But of course, there is no one else for me and Andrew is who I want to spend the rest of my life with.”
When asked if he was ‘The One’, she quipped: “Absolutely. I wouldn’t be with him otherwise. I’m so lucky to have such an amazing boyfriend.” The pair hit a rough patch before as they were rocked by a huge cheating scandal when they starred in Love Island together.
