“Son’s Chilling Confession: ‘Killing Mama'”

Must read

A 20-year-old individual is accused of fatally attacking his mother with a hammer before fleeing into the nearby woods where he uttered a single chilling word.

Sebastian Van Stockum, 20, was taken into custody last week following his purported confession to the violent killing of Laura Williams, 55, in the vicinity of their affluent residence. He allegedly informed law enforcement that he used his fists and a hammer to end his mother’s life. Authorities were led to the distressing scene after receiving a report of a male voice shouting ‘Mama’ from the wooded area.

As officers approached, a man dialed 911, confessing to “killing his mother” – identifying the victim as Laura, a sole caregiver who raised Van Stockum. Upon arrival, law enforcement found him at the door, drenched in blood on his face, clothing, and hands, promptly placing him under arrest.

Laura sustained severe head trauma and a fractured skull from the assault. A blood-smeared hammer was located near her head in the grass, as detailed in the police report. Despite resuscitation efforts, she succumbed to her grievous injuries at the scene.

When questioned by an officer about his involvement in the crime, the son purportedly replied with gestures implying guilt. He allegedly admitted, “I did it” and confessed to taking his mother’s life, mentioning his attempts with a knife, a hammer, and his bare hands. He also indicated to authorities that he was grappling with mental health issues.

Laura, a single mother and antique dealer, resided with her son in their $1.9 million property in New Canaan, Connecticut, prior to the tragic incident. Van Stockum’s mugshot displayed visible blood and scratches on his face. He appeared in Stamford Superior Court on Monday, where state attorney Paul Ferencek described the case as an “especially violent murder,” noting the victim’s fatal injuries from the brutal attack.

During a recent incident, Lorenz Kraus, 53, openly admitted to burying his deceased parents, Franz and Theresia Kraus, in the backyard of their residence during a televised interview. The couple had disappeared in 2017, and their remains were found by law enforcement shortly after Kraus’s confession.

Kraus explained during the interview that he choked his father and strangled his mother before burying them in the backyard over several days. Initial suspicions arose from financial irregularities, with an additional welfare check leading to the discovery of the missing elderly couple. Following the recovery of their bodies, Kraus reached out to various media outlets, eventually making a startling on-camera admission.
