A 20-year-old individual is accused of fatally attacking his mother with a hammer before fleeing into the nearby woods where he uttered a single chilling word.
Sebastian Van Stockum, 20, was taken into custody last week following his purported confession to the violent killing of Laura Williams, 55, in the vicinity of their affluent residence. He allegedly informed law enforcement that he used his fists and a hammer to end his mother’s life. Authorities were led to the distressing scene after receiving a report of a male voice shouting ‘Mama’ from the wooded area.
As officers approached, a man dialed 911, confessing to “killing his mother” – identifying the victim as Laura, a sole caregiver who raised Van Stockum. Upon arrival, law enforcement found him at the door, drenched in blood on his face, clothing, and hands, promptly placing him under arrest.
