Sky has introduced new free channels for its viewers, offering a variety of content including sports, documentaries, and art. The so-called FAST channels are available on devices like Sky Glass Gen 2, Sky Glass Air, and Sky Stream boxes, with compatibility extended to older Sky Q devices through the Xumo Play app.
Users do not need to update or retune their devices as the channels will be automatically added. The channels cover a range of interests, from sports classics to animal rescue shows, catering to a diverse audience. Each channel is assigned a specific number, making it easy for viewers to access their preferred content.
Additionally, Virgin Media has also launched two new free channels, British Screen Classics and wedotv movies, offering a collection of films and TV shows for Virgin TV 360, Stream, and V6 box users. British Screen Classics showcases content from ITV Studios and Studio Canal, while wedotv movies boasts a catalog of over 500 movies across various genres.
Both Sky and Virgin Media are expanding their free channel offerings, providing viewers with an array of entertainment options at no extra cost. Viewers can conveniently access these channels through voice search or by directly tuning in to the allocated channel numbers.
