“Selfie to Murder: Man Pushes Pregnant Wife Off Cliff”

Must read

A man, Hakan Aysal, is currently in prison for pushing his pregnant wife off a cliff shortly after taking a selfie with her. The incident took place at Butterfly Valley in Mugla, Turkey. The victim, Semra Aysal, who was seven months pregnant, tragically lost her life due to her husband’s actions aimed at benefiting from a life insurance policy he had secured.

Reportedly, Hakan lured his wife, who had a fear of heights, to the edge of the cliff under the pretense of taking a photo together before callously pushing her over the precipice. The couple had spent several hours on the slope before the fatal push occurred when there were no witnesses around.

Suspicion arose when images of the couple surfaced in the media, leading to a witness recalling the pair from their time at the location. Additionally, video footage captured by a passerby showed the couple navigating the rocky terrain before the tragic event unfolded.

Following Semra’s death, Hakan attempted to claim a substantial insurance payout, but authorities became alerted to the situation due to the suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident. It was discovered that Hakan had taken out loans in his wife’s name and was leading a lavish lifestyle after her demise.

In 2022, the Fethiye High Criminal Court accepted an indictment against Hakan for premeditated murder. He was sentenced to a minimum of 30 years in prison before being eligible for parole. Witnesses at the trial described Hakan as composed and unconcerned, with one bystander mentioning that he did not actively participate in the search for his wife following the incident.

Despite being incarcerated, Hakan attempted to sue numerous individuals in 2022 for allegedly defaming him online. He sought compensation for each person who had supposedly insulted him on social media. This behavior suggests that even in prison, he is seeking ways to benefit financially and is showing a lack of remorse for his heinous actions.
