A woman from Portsmouth, Hampshire, identified as Sonia Exelby, tragically passed away in the US after allegedly seeking a violent death. Her body was discovered in a shallow grave in woodland in Marion Oaks, Florida, following her failure to board her return flight on October 13. Authorities have accused a Florida resident named Dwain Hall of sexually assaulting, torturing, and murdering Sonia, who reportedly struggled with mental health issues. Investigation findings revealed that she succumbed to four stab wounds.
Hall, aged 53, was apprehended on November 17 and is facing charges of first-degree murder, kidnapping, credit card fraud, and unlawful use of a communication device, all of which he denies. It was disclosed that Sonia and Hall connected on a fetish website where discussions about her desire for someone to end her life took place.
