“Plus-Size Retailer Live Unlimited Faces Administration”

Must read

A fashion brand specializing in plus-size clothing, retailed by Next and Marks and Spencer, is facing potential administration. Live Unlimited has initiated the process by filing a notice to appoint administrators, triggering a temporary legal protection period against creditor actions for ten days.

Reports indicate that Irwin Mitchell will oversee the administration process for Live Unlimited. The founders, Rachel Heather and Tracy Egan, established the brand in 2012, evolving from a small capsule collection to a full launch in 2017.

Recently, Live Unlimited expanded its market presence by partnering with Nordstrom to offer its size-inclusive clothing range, spanning from sizes 12 to 28, in the United States.

In a parallel development, Cefinn, a fashion brand founded by Lady Samantha Cameron, wife of former UK Prime Minister David Cameron, announced its impending closure. Lady Cameron confirmed that the upcoming winter collection will mark the brand’s final release. The Cefinn stores in London will continue trading for the next few months alongside the brand’s online platform.

Expressing the challenges faced, Lady Cameron emphasized the difficulty in steering Cefinn towards profitability amid escalating costs. The decision to wind down the operations was described as tough, considering the brand’s recent positive sales figures.

Lady Cameron founded Cefinn with a focus on modern, practical women who value fashion without compromising their dignity and intelligence. The brand’s name is believed to be a fusion of the Cameron family initials.

Despite recent successes, the brand’s closure was deemed necessary due to the ongoing challenges in the fashion wholesale sector, rising expenses, and international trade limitations. Lady Cameron expressed hope that Cefinn’s legacy will endure in the wardrobes of its loyal supporters for years to come.
