A person online has invited others to take part in a brainteaser that involves finding an orange cat hidden in a living room.
It’s important to keep your mind active throughout the day – and the best way to achieve this is with a challenging brainteaser. Brainteasers are puzzles, questions or problems that require mental effort to solve and are designed to stimulate cognitive processes, including critical thinking, problem-solving and lateral thinking. They come in different forms such as riddles, logic puzzles, maths problems and word games.
While cats are know for being good at hiding in plain sight, orange cats are often described as ‘sharing one braincell’ on social media, as they aren’t always the smartest of cats.
This hasn’t stopped them for doing their best in hiding from their owners, and often lead to some funny hiding spots, as well as providing a great real-life brainteaser scenarios for its owners.
Taking to Reddit’s ‘Find the Sniper’ forum, someone posted a picture of a living room, urging others to try to find the user’s “orange idiot”, also known as their orange cat that was well hidden within the scene.
Are you able to spot the orange cat? This one isn’t easy, so it may take you a little while to locate it. but if you’re a cat owner, you might know where to look.
“Having idiots also, it was easy to figure out where yours was,” one person commented on the photo, while a second user said: “he looks like he’s about to jump me man”
“See, if you are a cat owner you don’t even need to search – you already know where that fluffy bastard is,” a third added.
If you’re still desperately looking, you may want to stop reading now, as the answer is coming up…
If you zoom in on the paper bags in the middle of the photo, you’ll just about be able to spot the orange cat laying in one of them, as it head is poking out of the top of the bag, looking directly at the camera.
Several people were able to locate the cat, some easier than others. But in the end, no one seemed surprised to find the cat in the bag.
“Knew right where to look as I am a fellow orange idiot enthusiast,” one person said. “In the paper bag as expected,” a second person said, while another wrote: “Kitty is in the bag! Pretty much centre of picture.”
Another user provided a useful technique for if you’re ever struggling with trying to find something hidden in a photo, by saying: “When in doubt, just zoom into the direct centre of the photo.”
