“One Winning Horse Nets Bettor £47K Win”

Must read

A bettor has managed to transform a £10 wager into nearly £50,000 through a six-horse accumulator bet, despite only one horse winning. The individual, a customer of William Hill, received a payout of £47,351.56 by selecting horses for an each-way sixfold bet with a total stake of £10. The wager included picks from racing events at Cheltenham, Doncaster, and Newbury that took place on Saturday.

What set this significant win apart was that out of the six selected horses, only one emerged victorious. The bet began with Great Fleet securing second place in a novices’ hurdle at Cheltenham, with odds of 25-1. Following this, Hoe Joly Smoke finished third in a handicap chase at the same venue at 12-1.

The streak continued at Doncaster where Figjam, with odds of 16-1, came in second in a Listed race. Moving back to Cheltenham, Supremely West (18-1) claimed third place in a handicap hurdle before Arabian Desert took second in the Horris Hill Stakes at Newbury (16/1).

The final leg of the bet rested on Hamish in the St Simon Stakes, and the nine-year-old horse triumphed, securing a win for the bettor with odds of 11-2. The total payout was significantly boosted by receiving Best Odds Guaranteed for two of the selections.

A representative from William Hill, Lee Phelps, expressed astonishment at the bet, highlighting the impressive achievement of turning a £5 each-way sixfold into nearly £50,000 with just one winning selection. The spokesperson emphasized the value of Best Odds Guaranteed for punters and commended the bettor for their extraordinary accomplishment.
