“NYPD Detective in Tactical Gear Fakes Security for Trump at Ryder Cup”

Must read

A detective from the New York Police Department (NYPD) reportedly appeared at the Ryder Cup golf tournament in full tactical gear, asserting he was providing security for President Trump, despite being on sick leave. Detective Melvin Eng, facing administrative charges for stealing services, almost succeeded in his ruse until he accidentally dropped his gun magazine in front of actual security personnel, as revealed by law enforcement sources and NYPD records.

A seasoned officer expressed disappointment over the incident, stating, “You’re out sick, so what are you doing at the Ryder Cup? That’s not acceptable. It’s theft of services because he entered for free and falsely claimed he was working for Donald Trump.”

Eng, aged 46 and serving as president of the NYPD Asian Jade Society, purportedly arrived at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York, on Friday dressed in full tactical gear, alleging he was assigned to security for the visiting president. His fabricated story granted him access to the prestigious tournament until his slip-up with the magazine led to his immediate removal. Subsequently, Eng was suspended on Monday, according to NYPD documentation.

Concerns were raised about the potential risks posed by Eng’s actions, with one police insider questioning, “What if he intended to cause harm? He made it in with his weapon, bypassing the Secret Service and state police.”

When contacted by a journalist, Eng abruptly said, “I’m sorry, I gotta go,” before ending the call.

The US President, a noted golf enthusiast from New York, attended the Ryder Cup on Friday, arriving via Air Force One to support his home country. The commander-in-chief witnessed Europe building a significant lead on day one, extending it to seven points by the end of play on Saturday. However, Rory McIlroy and Team Europe only needed three points from Sunday’s 12 singles matches for victory.

In a spirited comeback, Keegan Bradley’s USA team made it a tense final session, but Europe ultimately clinched victory amid the intense atmosphere at Bethpage Black. Despite taunts and jeers from the home team’s fans throughout the weekend, Europe emerged victorious on Sunday.

During the celebrations, Team Europe’s players gathered to send Trump a video message, with McIlroy filming in selfie mode as they sang, “Are you watching, Donald Trump?” Captain Luke Donald then raised the Ryder Cup to the camera. Trump responded on Truth Social, posting, “Yes, I’m watching. Congratulations.”
